Patrick Sampair, Attorney at Law


Patrick Sampair has over 34 years of legal experience and has helped thousands of Arizonans with their family law matters, including divorce, child custody, child support, child relocation and alimony (or spousal maintenance) disputes. Mr. Sampair has expertise resolving complex financial matters that arise in a family law dispute, drawn in part from his experience litigating civil and criminal tax cases during his early years of law practice. Mr. Sampair is committed to providing his clients with effective and affordable legal representation; he is dedicated to minimizing the negative effects divorce proceedings and related disputes can have on children.

Mr. Sampair received his Juris Doctorate from Creighton University Law School in Nebraska in 1981, and a BA from Creighton University in 1976. He is admitted to practice law in Arizona and Minnesota, and is a member of the State Bar of Arizona. Mr. Sampair is also admitted to practice before Arizona state and federal courts, the U.S. Circuit Courts of Appeals for the First, Second, Fifth, Sixth, Eighth, and Ninth Circuits and the U.S. Bankruptcy Courts for Arizona.

Mr. Sampair is a former Judge Pro Tem in the Maricopa County Superior Courts, and a former Adjunct Professor of Law at the William Mitchell School of Law in St. Paul, Minnesota. In 1992, he was appointed by the U.S. District Court of Arizona to represent indigent defendants pursuant to the federal Criminal Justice Act.

James Bruce, Attorney at Law


James Bruce has practiced law in Phoenix Metropolitan and Glendale since 1978. He grew up and graduated high school in Rochester, New York. He received a Bachelor of Arts in Religion from Haverford College in 1973. He worked for the Pennsylvania Crime Commission in 1973 and 1974. He attended Georgetown University Law Center in Washington, D.C. from 1974 to 1977. He received his Doctor of Jurisprudence from Georgetown in 1977.

James Bruce took the Arizona State Bar and was admitted to practice law in 1977. He moved to Glendale, Arizona, in 1978 and has been practicing law in the Phoenix Metropolitan area ever since.

James Bruce has practiced law in Phoenix Metropolitan and Glendale since 1978.  In February of 2000, the State Bar of Arizona gave James Bruce the distinction of being named aCertified Domestic Relations Specialist. This is a distinction which is given to only a few domestic relations lawyers in the State of Arizona. It is given when one shows a proficiency, expertise and knowledge of the nuances of Arizona Family Law. Although there are over 17,000 lawyers licensed to practice law in Arizona, today there are less then 70 who have earned the distinction of being named a Certified Domestic Relations Specialist.

James Bruce has appeared and practiced in Courtrooms throughout the State of Arizona. He has appeared before the Arizona Court of Appeals to argue a variety of Family Law matters. James Bruce has been a sole practitioner doing exclusively family law since 1985. He is married with four grown children.

Brandy Ramsay, Attorney at Law


Brandy has assisted Arizona families with family law matters for more than fourteen years. She has used her skills to represent clients in every area of family law, including: divorce, legal separation, paternity, child support, decree enforcements and modifications, alternative dispute resolution and more. With experience, determination and finesse, Brandy has successfully guided Hundreds of families through difficult times and onto new beginnings. Brandy gives each and every case her full commitment.

Born and raised in Arizona, Brandy graduated with Honors from Arizona State University in 1998. Brandy is distinguished from other family law attorneys by her degree in psychology. As a result, Brandy brings valuable insight to cases with respect to the difficult emotional and psychological dynamics involved in family law matters.

Brandy then obtained her Juris Doctorate from California Western School of Law in 2001. Since then, she has been a fierce advocate, deeply committed to family law issues. Brandy has assisted clients with family law matters ranging from basic to complex and has appeared in Court for numerous hearings, conferences and trials.

During her career, Brandy has been recognized for her volunteer work in the community by the Family Law Assistance Project and has provided her services to the Arizona State University College of Law Advocacy Program for Domestic Violence. Brandy has also served as a Court-Appointed Advisor to provide objective testimony for the Court regarding serious custody issues. As a single parent, Brandy can thoroughly understand any situation not only from a legal perspective, but a personal one as well. Brandy will pursue what is right for her clients and their children.

Elizabeth Langford, Attorney at Law

Elizabeth Langford has practiced law in the Phoenix area since 1990. She grew up in Phoenix and attended Arizona State University to obtain her undergraduate degree. She then attended the University of Arizona where she obtained her Juris Doctorate.

Just out of law school, Elizabeth worked as a Public Defender, gaining untold experience and confidence before of judges and juries. She then started her own firm where she practiced for 23 years in all areas of family law as well as consumer bankruptcy. She is well known for her dedication to her clients’ best interests and as an aggressive advocate for her clients and their children.

Elizabeth volunteers as a Maricopa County Judge Pro Tem, offering her time, knowledge and expertise to the court and the family court participants.

By joining The Sampair Group, Elizabeth is now able to devote her entire day to the practice of law and helping her clients.

Her extensive bankruptcy knowledge provides her with a unique perspective in family law cases. She knows that finances are most frequently the basis of divorce and helps her family law clients plan for their post-divorce futures. Her goal is always to reach the best result for each client while acknowledging that each client may have different goals. Elizabeth has good ideas and creative suggestions that she can share with you and recommend for your individual situation.

In her spare time, Elizabeth enjoys spending time with her daughter, her “medium” schnauzer and refinishing furniture.
